ANITA CARMEN CHOY, MD
Doctor Anita Carmen Choy is a Board Certified Allergist, providing comprehensive medical care for adult and children in the Silicon Valley since 1995. Now serving the Palo Alto community from her Stanford office, Dr. Choy was also the Allergist at the Google Wellness center at Mountain View campus from 2005-2011. Dr. Choy received her Allergy training at Northwestern University in Chicago, where she also completed her Internal Medicine Residency. She received her medical degree from Sydney University in Sydney, Australia. Currently an executive board member for the Northern California Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, Dr. Choy served as Secretary, Vice President and President of the Board of the Northern California Allergy & Asthma Society between 2004 and 2008. She has been continuously recognized in America Top Docs and People’s Choice Awards.

Doctor Hailen Mak, M.D., M.P.H., is a Board Certified Allergist practicing allergy and pulmonary disease in San Jose and Palo Alto for the past 30 years. Since 1982, Dr. Mak has served as clinical faculty and attending in Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at Stanford University School of Medicine and at Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital. Dr. Mak received her medical degree from New York University and completed a Pediatric Residency at Children’s Hospital of Northern California. She obtained a Master of Public Health degree at Johns Hopkins University, where she also completed a Preventive Medicine Residency and a Fellowship in Allergy, Immunology and Pulmonary Medicine. Before returning to California in 1981, Dr. Mak was a faculty and co-director of Pediatric Allergy Clinic at Johns Hopkins.

If your eyes itch and are red, tearing or burning, you may have eye allergies (allergic conjunctivitis), a condition that affects millions of Americans. Many people will treat their nasal allergy symptoms but ignore their itchy, red, watery eyes.

More than 50 million Americans have an allergy of some kind. Food allergy symptoms are most common in babies and children, but they can appear at any age.
Bumps, itching, redness and other skin conditions are very common, and their cause may not be easily identifiable. Eczema and hives, both of which are related to allergies, are two of the most common skin rashes.
Allergic reactions to latex may be serious and can very rarely be fatal. If you have latex allergy you should limit or avoid future exposure to latex products.

Mold allergies can be tough to outrun. The fungus can grow in your basement, in your bathroom, in the cabinet under your sink where a leak went undetected, in the pile of dead leaves in your backyard and in the field of uncut grass down the road.
If you sneeze a lot, if your nose is often runny or stuffy, or if your eyes, mouth or skin often feels itchy, you may have allergic rhinitis, a condition that affects 40 million to 60 million Americans.
